Ironies

 I made this work based in te video  Ironic from  Alanis Morrissette :

1.      Ironies:

· An old man turned ninety-eight

He won the lottery and died the next day - Situational

· It's a black fly in your chardonnay - Verbal

· It's a death row pardon two minutes too late - Situational

· It's like rain on your wedding day - Situational

· It's a free ride when you've already paid - Situational

· It's the good advice that you just didn't take - Situational

· Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly

He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids good-bye

He waited his whole damn life to take that flight

And as the plane crashed down he thought

Well, isn't this nice. - Situational

· A traffic jam when you're already late - Situational

· A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break - Verbal

· It's like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife - Verbal

· It's meeting the man of my dreams

and then meeting his beautiful wife – Situational

2.        I think the most ironic of all is the one that says:  “Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly

        He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids good-bye

        He waited his whole damn life to take that flight

        And as the plane crashed down he thought

        Well, isn't this nice”  because  it tells that is somethin Mr. Play was waiting for a long time because he was afraid to fly, once he fly he crushed, it is ironic that something he had waited for a long time had killed him.

3.        I think the writer shows how sad the life sometimes can be, and criticizing life too, the way it is ironic, sometimes with good situations and sometimes with bad, this song only says bad examples. I think the writer had written this letter because life had been very ironic with her too.
